Why watching movies was a good choice

So I got to talk with my family, but more importantly, I got to see my bestest friend in the whole world, Sister Norman!!!  Shout out to you- love you!   I´m kidding, I really love my family, but it´s such an incredible experience to be on a mission and meet people that become like a family to you, so I can´t be sad to see them, because I will be with them forever, but I only have a short time with my family here in Peru.
Other than that, not much is happening, the weather is getting a little cooler so that makes me happy.

So it´s funny how much I can apply movies to life.  I mean I´m really good at relating anything and everything, but sometimes I don´t even have to try.  So I´m going to use the movie Labyrinth.  Now I realize that most of you probably haven´t seen the movie, with few exceptions which would be my best friends.  So if you haven´t watched it, you should 1. consider our friendship 2. repent 3. go and watch it 4. come back and finish reading this letter.  So at the end of the movie, the main character Sarah, has reaching the center of the Labyrinth and is facing the Goblin King, asking for her brother which he kidnapped.  And the words she says are really applicable in missionary work, "Through dangers untold, and hardships unnumbered, I have fought my way here... For my will is as strong as yours, and my kingdom as great, you have no power over me"  And I just think a bit about the times in the mission that we give Satan the power.  We get discouraged, we are disobedient.  But if we think about our sacred calling and authority, we can look him square in the mouth and say, "you have no power over me"  And we can win, we don´t have to give him the power, because our will is as strong and stronger than his.  We are talking about eternal life here.

This is us and our adopted family, her two daughters who are actually her daughters and all her other adopted children.

So this is our pensionista who is like a mother to us and many others.

I need a doctor, call me a doctor

So I went do the doctor, luckily, she thinks that they´ll be able to save my feet.  But I have to get new arch supports, because my feet are really weird, and apparently the inserts from the US suck.....take that Dr. Scholls.   But she gave me some gel for the pain and hopefully the insoles get here on Wednesday.
Also, due to my trip to the doctor, I got to see Hna. Jimenez!  woooo, it was a joyous moment, I think for everyone, definitely not just for her and me.
Then.....well that´s about it, not much happened this week, but....I´m staying here for another transfer.  I´m really excited because I´ve never been in an area for more than two transfers, so this is a big moment for me.  And I get to spend my birthday here!  wooo!  Well that´s it.  Everyone have a great week!

Don´t ask me why I was so stoked to take this picture, but I apparently was.

No Title

Well this week has been a week for sure.  We had work visits with the Sister Training Leaders from Monday to Tuesday.  Just to remind you all, I really don´t like work visits at all.  And the only good thing that came from this was that we got to meet them and the City Hall, which was shweeet.  There were a ton of break dancers and people drumming and dancing.  It was the greatest place every, and not at all trunky lol.

Then the next day we had interviews with president, always a good time.  It´s a little rough, because I have a hard time speaking English now, so it´s kinda of a proccess trying to do the interview in English.  But as always, Presidente Archibald shed some of his infinite light and wisdom, and we are going to baptize everyone.  Period.  Then that afternoon, Hermana Archibald went out with us.....scary.  She doesn´t speak spanish, so that was a good time.  And she also found out that my feet have been hurting me for 2 months and now I have to go to the doctor :/  C´est la vie. (ehh. my french is coming along lol)

But other than that, a fairly normal week.  I will tell everyone more about the work when it´s a bit more stable, I feel like right now, we are trying to find our grip, but we are getting there.  I think this week will be a lot better.  I´m grateful for all the prayers in my behalf and I want to let everyone know that I see those miracles everyday.  I love you all and have a great week!

Well Everyone Can Start Getting Pregnant Now

So I hit my half-way mark this week, don`t really want to talk about.  But everyone can start getting pregnant now because I`ll be home in 9 months.....And I obviously am referring to those who are legally married.....unmarried people, please don`t get pregnant.

Other little thing, I`m learning french, I have the two most important things.  The Book of Mormon in French, and a French-English Dictionary.  I should be fluent in 3-4 months.

Other than that, we are just living the missionary life.  Contacting, teaching, putting baptismal dates that inevitably fail, the usual.  Just kidding about that failing part, that`s just been the trend for these past few weeks, so we are gonig to be making some changes.

Then today we have been running to the mission offices and back because my companion had to go to immigrations, not my favorite p-day, and tonight we have a work visit with the sister training leaders.....yay.  It`s going to be an interesting week.

Sorry couldn`t send pictures this week, not all computers are created equal.

Have a great week!   Love you all!

Just Pictures This Week

Hermana J Ahern didn't send a letter this past week (sorry I've been gone so I'm just getting to this.)  But she did send a few pictures, so I'll put them on here.
In her first area (Chancay) her pensionista happened to have served a mission a few years back with Jenna's cousin, Aaron.  Hermana Paula's brother lives in Trebol, where Jenna is now, so Hma Paula was a church last week visiting her brother and it was a happy day for Jenna.

This one is of Hermana Ahern and her companion, Hermana Luenga, from Argentina.  They are busy following President Archibald's pattern for contacting, teaching and baptizing.
Hermana Ahern hit her Hump Day (half way through, 9 month mark) on Thursday, April 16.  The time is flying by and I am so proud of her and how happy she is and how hard she is working.  (her mom)
